The reflection should be submitted to your professor for feedback. Upload your artifacts to your portfolio so your professor can review them along with your reflection. Instructions: Read the definition of the Competency and behaviors below. Reflect on all your completed assignments thus far in the MSW program, including field practicum. Select at least 2 assignment examples that demonstrate proficiency of the competency and a minimum of 1 example from your field practicum. Follow the guidelines of the Reflective Assignment on Social Work Competency Demonstration and submit a well-developed publish of your reflection. The final reflection will be due Week 15. Clinical Social Workers understand how to intervene using a variety of culturally informed methods and interventions to provide services to clients experiencing mental health challenges. Clinicians understand the importance of using evidence-based intervention strategies based on assessments to improve and increase client coping skills and wellbeing. Clinicians understand the use of self in social work practice and the need to continually monitor how it may promote or hinder desired outcomes. Clinical social workers: 1. demonstrates knowledge and skills in culturally informed clinical interventions, including planned non-emergent intake and treatment planning, crisis intervention strategies, and ongoing evaluation of intervention efficacy; 2. apply relevant laws, agency policies, and the NASW code of ethics to guide intervention where there is reason to suspect that a client is a danger to self or others; 3. select and modify evidence-based interventions based on their usefulness and appropriateness for specific clients;
4. collaborate and consult with supervisors and other professionals to coordinate appropriate interventions.;
5. facilitate appropriate referrals to secure needed resources to promote client safety and wellbeing;
