You will provide a 2 page report describing the principal of the method, the type of specimen used, the reliability of the method, and you will name other tests that use this method. You will also compare it with the previously used method, and you will briefly describe how this method of detection is better than the previous method in terms of cost, time involved in sample preparation, test run time, and accuracy and precision.
You will briefly discuss your findings on the message board and also state whether or not you have any any experience with any of these test methods.
In your research, feel free to use the data provided by the manufacturer and use the Pubmed search engine as well. This exercise will provide a more in-depth view of new technologies in the lab.
