Instructions
For this project, you will have the choice to view the war from a different perspective. You can choose the perspective of a colony, another country or from the home front of Germany, Japan, Britain and the US. If you choose the colony route, explore how the colony contributed to the overall effort of the colonial mother. Explore what the people thought of the war. If you choose the another country route, pick a country that contributed the war effort. Canada and Australia are not an option here. They have major roles in the war. You are looking for a country, say Argentina. Explore what role the country played in the war effort, if any. What side of the war did the country choose to support and why? How did the people feel about the overall war? If you choose the home front, your slides will be need to focus on the 4 listed. You can add Soviet Union as well. Explore what the people were being told versus reality. How did the home front work? Who supplied the labor? What policies were enacted to help the war effort? How were casualties treated at home when they returned? Which ever route you choose, you will need to have 4 sources minimum along with pictures for every slide that help prove your point. Pictures are a loose term. You can have graphs or other items to support. Check out the syllabus for the preferred amount. You need to cite your work as you go on the slides. No paragraphs, just bullet points.
